MARIAH CAREY COMING BACK IN 2007

Mariah Carey is slated to release two CDs in 2007, according to Universal Music Group Chief Executive Doug Morris.

Carey's release of The Emancipation of Mimi was the top grossing CD of 2005 for the French-owned media group and fed consumer anticipation for her future recordings.

"I think that next year we're going to have our best year," Morris said at the Reuters Media Summit in New York. "I think our revenues and our profits will be the best we've ever had."

Carey's two as-yet-untitled scheduled releases along with releases from both 50 Cent and Eminem are expected to be the benchmark for success for the music group in 2007.
