THIS JUST IN: Mo'Nique Brings Her "Charm" To 'Flavor' (wtf!!!)

By Karu F. Daniels, AOL Black Voices
Although 'Flavor Of Love' has become a history making success for VH1, the black elite media backlash ('Essence') and the subsequent reports about it not really being reality may have become a public relations nightmare.
Earlier this week, while in New York City to promote his "first and only" solo album, the Public Enemy hypeman and reality TV sensation Flavor Flav confirmed rumors that he had a relationship and impregnated another woman -- not a contestant on the show -- while the show was being filmed. Or the actual winner Deelishis (legally known as London Charles, I think). She is reportedly dating a professional football player.
It's safe to guess that it won't be a third cycle of 'Flavor of Love' since the public was hoodwinked once again. (The show's first season winner Hoopz did not run off in the sunset with the 47-year-old rap veteran, either.)
Mo'Nique to the rescue.
Now, don't get crazy.
The super-sized superstar of TV, film and the literary world is not joining the show tocompete for Flav's love.
She is, however, tied into a new TV project featuring contestants from seasons one and two of the wildly popular series.
Today, VH1 announced that star of 'The Parkers' will host the forthcoming new series 'Charm School,' which will feature 'Flavor Of Love' ladies being trained in proper etiquette and having their social skills put to the test.
This is not a joke, people.
"These girls are outspokenand outrageous, but they need some focus and direction," the Maryland native funnywoman proclaimed. "I’m just the woman to give it to them. You will see a metamorphosis in these girls, I promise!"
Oh, so that's why Whoopi Goldberg is now the host of 'Showtime At The Apollo.'
Each contestant will compete in challenges testing poise and grace and will be judged on their ability to handle pressure in difficult situations. Described as a real life 'My Fair Lady,' the show is about transforming the women from a flavor of the month tothe ultimate standard in class and sophistication.
Oh, okay.
The same folks who produced 'Flavor of Love' and'Surreal Life' are the minds behind this.
There's no date set for this show to premiere -- at press time-- but I am certain that this will breathe some new life into what seems like an undying fad.
And like many of you, I can not wait to see how it all unfolds.
