KANYE WEST AND EVIL KNIEVEL RESOLVE THEIR LEGAL DISPUTE!

Kanye West and Robert Craig "Evel" Knievel have amicably resolved their dispute and dismissed the lawsuit over the case of Kanye's "Touch The Sky" video.

According to MTV News, Knievel filed a lawsuit for trademark infringement in December 2006 accusing West of ripping off his image.

At the time of the lawsuit, Knievel's attorney told MTV News:

"Mr. Knievel has a trademark on Evel Knievel and an extraordinarily well-recognized white jumpsuit. Kanye West and Roc-A-Fella Records are undoubtedly familiar with intellectual property rights. Mr. Knieval is not too happy with it. He wants to be compensated for uses of his likeness and trademark."

The St. Petersburg Times reported that the lawsuit accused West and the video of tarnishing Knievel's image with "vulgar, sexual and racially charged content."

"The guy just disgraced me," Knievel told the paper at the time. "I have done the best I can to set an example for children, and then this guy comes along and tries to rip it apart."

West and Knievel announced in July of this year that they were bringing in a mediator to attempt to settle the dispute. Reports say the two recently met at Knievel's Tampa, Florida home and resolved the matter.
