A representative for INNER CITY Urban WBLS/NEW YORK afternoon diva WENDY WILLIAMS, tells the NEW YORK DAILY NEWS that WILLIAMS' contract with WBLS expires in MARCH and says she's "exploring her options" for what to do next.
"She's weighing whether she wants to stay at WBLS," said the representative. "There has been interest elsewhere."
Whatever her choice, said the rep, WILLIAMS will continue in radio. Her show is syndicated by SUPERADIO NETWORKS out of WBLS, where it has consistently been near the top of the ratings.
Some sources are predicting that Clear Channel is the main front runner offering Wendy a deal. If Williams was to go to Clear Channel, it would increase her syndication chain and likely put her against Miss Jones in the morning by having a Syndicated Morning show with Power 105.1 NY as her flagship station.
