Despite currently being on house arrest awaiting trial on federal weapons charges, T.I. will be giving back to his community this Thanksgiving with various charitable functions.
According to an MTV News report, T.I.'s Grand Hustle label and Grand Hustle K.I.N.G. foundation will be handing out 400 turkeys this week in Atlanta, 200 on the west side and 200 on the east side.
"I want people to know that no matter what the situation is, I'm always going to be in the community giving to those who are in need and helping people out," T.I. told MTV News correspondent Sway. "That's what I've always done."
There are also plans to serve dinners to the needy at Club Crucial on Thanksgiving and T.I.'s foundation and label will also take part in a Hosea Williams Feed the Hungry and Homeless Foundation at Turner Field where the hopes are to raise $150,000 and feed 20,000 - 30,000 people.
A compilation of rare, unreleased and import-only tracks from Def Jam artists will hit stores December 18.
According to Billboard.com, the set will focus on tracks from albums released by Def Jam artists between late 2006 and the end of 2007.
