BET will be airing an episode of its American Gangster series spotlighting Foxy’s manager, Chaz Williams, on November 21st, 2007. Williams has been Foxy’s manager for the past year, and has become an integral part of her career.
Foxy Brown first made a name for herself after winning a talent contest in her hometown of Brooklyn and was soon featured on tracks by LL Cool J, Nas, Case, Toni Braxton and more.
Brown released three solo albums: Ill Na Na (1996), Chyna Doll (1999), and Broken Silence (2001) which sold a total of 3 million records. Foxy was the first female rapper to release an album that debuted at #1 on the Billboard Top 200 with Chyna Doll.
GOOD Music artist and close friend of Kanye West, John Legend, has released a statement on the sudden death of Dr. Donda West.
“Dr. West wasn’t just the mother of a superstar. She was an accomplished, successful, beautiful woman in her own right,” Legend’s statement said. “She raised and nurtured a brilliant son with the strength and resilience to follow his dreams and to turn tragedy to triumph. I pray that he continues to stay strong during these trying times.”
Kanye's mom, Dr. Donda West, died suddenly Saturday (Nov. 10) following cosmetic surgery.
