“Scream” follows “Give It To Me” featuring Nelly Furtado and Justin Timberlake, which topped Billboard’s Hot 100 chart (sales of 248,000 digital downloads catapulted the track from #42 in one week, making it the third biggest rise to #1 in the chart’s history); “The Way I Are” featuring Keri Hilson and D.O.E., which hit #1 on the Pop 100 chart and remains Top 20 on the Hot 100 (issue date December 8); and “Apologize” featuring OneRepublic, currently #1 Pop 100 and #2 Hot 100.
In late November, Timbaland joined The Beatles, Madonna, and ABBA as the only artists to simultaneously hold the #1 and #2 positions on the Australian singles chart, with “Apologize” and “The Way I Are,” respectively. Timbaland Presents: Shock Value has already reached platinum in Australia and Canada, and is nearing platinum in the U.S.
