Rap superstar JAY-Z and hip-hop/soul queen MARY J. BLIGE have been forced to scrap a scheduled concert in Colorado next month (Apr08) - less than three hours after announcing the date in a press release. The pair is due to hit the road for their Heart of the City Tour this weekend (22Mar08) in Miami, Florida, with further dates across North America over the next few weeks. An additional gig at Denver's Pepsi Center on 23 April was declared by promoter Live Nation on Tuesday (18Mar08) night at 8.59pm, with tickets due to go on sale on Saturday (22Mar08) morning. But at 11.48pm, Live Nation issued another statement, pulling the concert altogether. The latest press release reads: "Due to late additions of appearance commitments, they are disappointed that they will not be able to play in Denver."

Rapper GILLIE DA KID has been cleared of all charges relating to a 2007 arrest for drugs. The hip-hop star, real name S'ard Nasir, spent time behind bars in February (07) after being detained by Philadelphia authorities in a drugs bust involving the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). Cops discovered almost $500,000 (GBP250,000)-worth of marijuana in two houses allegedly run by Gillie and five associates. However, Gillie - who protested his innocence throughout the case - has now had charges of conspiracy and possession of narcotics with intent to deliver dropped. Meanwhile, the former Major Figgas MC has signed a new deal with Koch Records, ending speculation over his links with G-Unit
