BOW WOW, OMARION, REV RUN AND LIL MAMA IN NEW SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT!

Rev Run will join Bow Wow and Lil Mama and other celebrities in new Public Service Announcements called "I Will Graduate," which will urge students to stay in school. John Starks (NY Knicks), Jaslene Gonzalez (America's Next Top Model) and R&B star Omarion are also teaming up with The Entertainers 4 Education Alliance to help encourage New York State students from dropping out.

The "I Will Graduate" campaign will call on one million students nationwide to agree to obtain a high school diploma and persue higher education. In the nation, 50% of that number drop out each day in the United States. BET's Terrance J., Lil Mama, John Starks and Councilman Robert Jackson will officially launch the print and radio television ads on Wednesday (April 2) at the Samsung Experience at the Time Warner Building, from 6:00-9:00 PM.

GNARLS BARKLEY PULLS OUT AT THE LAST MINUTE?

GNARLS BARKLEY have cancelled a sold-out show in London and scrapped all of their U.K. promotional duties because of a serious "family illness". The Crazy hitmakers were due to play a gig at the British capital's 229 Club on Thursday (03Apr08) to support their newly-released album The odd couple but had to pull the date after a relative of singer Cee-Lo Green fell ill. A statement from the band reads: "Cee-Lo Green decided at short notice to remain in the States alongside his wife and children, and is thus now unable to travel to the U.K. as scheduled."

NELLY GOING ALL OUT WITH HIS NEW LP!

Rapper NELLY is set to collaborate with legendary rocker Bruce Springsteen on his forthcoming album. The Hot In Herre hitmaker has approached The Boss about making a record together - and the veteran singer is more than happy to oblige. Scheduling difficulties made it impossible to get the song recorded in time for Nelly's latest LP Brass Knuckles - which will be released in July (08) - but the hip-hop star is determined to make the collaboration happen later this year (08), and possibly feature the track on a special edition of the album. He says, "We still might get a chance to get it off. We're saving it. We might repackage it for the holidays." Nelly's new record already features collaborations with artists including Fergie, Akon, Snoop Dogg and LL Cool J.
