DR. DRE SET TO WORK WITH KEYSHIA COLE AND SNOOP DOGG!

As it gets closer to December, more and more rumors are circulating about Dr Dre’s new album “Detox.” The latest is that the first single will be called “Fuckin Wit Me (Issues)”. The Dr Dre and Mel-Man produced track will feature Ice Cube, Snoop Dogg and Bishop Lamont.

Another rumor going around is that Dr Dre recently recorded a track called “The Message 2″ where Dre apparently speaks about the recent death of his son. The track apparently will feature Ryan Leslie, Nate Dogg and Keyshia Cole.

So what’s true? What songs and artists will actually be on the album? Only time will tell. Dre has reportedly worked with Bishop Lamont, Eminem, Lloyd Banks, 50 Cent, Ice Cube, Snoop Dogg, Nas, Jay-Z, Warren G, Lil Wayne, Tony Yayo, Cassidy and many more for the album.

EMINEM HAS AN ALBUM TITLE; MORE DETAILS ON THE ALBUM!

Sha Money XL, G-Unit’s Ex (but long time) Vice President, says that Eminem’s much anticipated and long-awaited new album will be called “The Empack.” With a picture showing Eminem, Dr Dre and 50 Cent above, Sha Money posted a blog on his website warning rappers to release their albums implying that they won’t be able to compete with Dre’s “Detox,” 50 Cent’s “Self Destruct” (actually called “Before I Self Destruct”) and Eminem’s “The Empack.”

The first of the three albums is expected to be 50 Cent’s on December 9th with Dr Dre and Eminem following close behind. Although it makes more sense to be called “The Empact” (maybe Sha just mis-typed), no matter what it’s actually titled, the album will be the first solo release from Eminem since 2004’s Encore.

In other news Obie Trice recently talked about a track from Em’s new album that features himself and DMX,

Obie Trice appeared on Detroit’s WJLB FM98 radio station on Sunday (9/28) and talked about Eminem’s upcoming album. Obie says not only will he be featured on a song with Eminem, DMX will join them. Obie says the song will be harder than the three rappers previous collab called “Go To Sleep” that was featured on the ‘Cradle To The Grave’ soundtrack.

In related news, Obie Trice recently left Eminem’s Shady Records and during the interview Obie Trice said his new album will be released early next year with a new record label.

While Brown’s boxers are selling on bigheaded.com the R&B phenom is busy jumping off jeeps and sliding down staircases in “Bone Deep.” (Photo below)

Donning a more matured look, Brown’s performance has been well received according to sources close to ‘Bone Deep,’ a film about a group of bank robbers who pull off a daring high rise heist.

DIDDY AKA SATAN TV CONTINUES…

MTV is back in the Diddy business.

Sean Diddy Combs and Emmy Award winning producer Mark Burnett have launched a new reality series “StarMaker,” greenlit for January 2009.

The series will showcase aspiring solo artists who will compete while they are living together. In the new series, Sean Combs will continue his duties from the hit series “Making The Band,” finding the best talent while pushing them to excel.

The new format sees both men and women competing as individuals for the top spot. Combs’ hand picked team of star makers will put them through the rigors of “StarMaker” boot camp which extends well beyond just a contestant’s ability to sing.

In addition to having to perform in front of an audience each week the contestants will be tested on how well they handle photo shoots, deal with paparazzi, physically perform on stage and more.

“It’s a privilege to partner with Mark Burnett on my latest television venture. He is one of the industry’s best. I am confident that we will do great things together with “StarMaker” and beyond,” remarks Sean Combs.

“I’m looking forward to collaborating with MTV and Sean Combs on this new project” said Mark Burnett. “StarMaker will open the door to the tremendous amount of talent out there just waiting to be discovered. We’ve created a platform that will allow new and emerging artists a chance to showcase their talents to some of the industry’s best.”

“Sean Combs and Mark Burnett are leaders in the entertainment industry and have both been an integral part of MTV’s success throughout the years,” said Tony DiSanto, EVP Series Development & Programming, MTV. “Getting these two titans of media together, with their long history of hits across platforms but especially in TV and music is a formula for spectacle, drama and the unexpected.”

TONY YAYO GIVES A LAME EXCUSE FOR G-UNIT LATEST JOINT VENTURE FLOPPING!

Tony Yayo recently talked about why he believe G-Unit’s joint album TOS Flopped:

“Ain’t no love in the industry,” Yayo added, addressing the reception to the G-Unit group effort T.O.S. “You just have to be business-orientated. T.O.S. was a good album. The streets loved it. It wasn’t commercial. And basically, it’s something on the catalog; we go to the next project. I feel like a new artist right now. I feel like we’re starting all over.” Yayo said that the low sales for Terminate on Sight have only driven the Unit’s captain to make some of his best work to date. Still, Yayo said the meager SoundScan showing last time around had nothing to do with his camp’s musical quality. “T.O.S., I feel like sometimes the things that 50 and Jimmy Iovine go through trickle down on us,” Yayo said.

“50 is the kind of person, he has so much power and money, sometimes I think the label gets intimidated by that. None of his artists have to starve. Me and Banks and Buck, we all was good. If Interscope don’t wanna throw me an advance, I can always get the quarter mil, half a mil from Fif. I feel [T.O.S.] wasn’t marketed, period. Even with the iTunes, people tried to order the album, they couldn’t order the album. We had weak preorders. We didn’t go on a good promo run. … 50 has one more album left [on his Interscope contract]. If you’re Jimmy Iovine or somebody, when you know you have that leverage, why not let the G-Unit album fail so we can give you less money if you come back to negotiate with us? If the album does well, I have to give you more money.”

JADAKISS IS WORKING WITH JEEZY AND LIL WAYNE!

Jadakiss is still “a few joints away” from fnishing his new album, Kiss My Ass. In a huge ironic twist, Jada’s label, Def Jam/Roc-A-Fella are actually trying to push the album out as soon as possible. “They rolling the ball a little quicker than me,” Kiss told XXLmag.com about his Roc-A-Fella debut. That’s why it’s going down [like that.] “I still got my mixtape I got to finish, then the album,” he added. Jadakiss will have Young Jeezy, Lil Wayne (“Death Wish”) on the album plus he’s working on stuff with Ghostface and Raekwon. No release for the album has been given out.
