Rapper slash actor Common plans to expand his resume by launching a national online book club for teenagers. Common’s new website, The Corner, is aimed at children from middle to high school and will try to inspire members to read and talk about their thoughts on the books they read. Each month The Corner will select a book-of-the-month that includes messages of tolerance, compassion and non-violent expression then members can talk about it through the “Lets Talk” section. Common says he was motivated by his family saying “My mom was a teacher, and growing up she always stressed the importance of education. So when I look back it’s not a surprise for me to use words as a tool to make change, and to inspire children for the future.”

The world needs more people like you Common to inspire our youth of this generation to use their words to solve conflicts and not violence. Knowledge is power! I wish you much success in all of your endeavors.
BTW…Where can I find the website link to recommend it to my family and friends?
Will we be able to have his website when it is up and running? I think that is a good ideal. Our teenages need to have a place where they can express what they think about what they read. Good ideal
