Hip-hop superstars Jay Z and Kanye West had money to burn this Christmas (11) after banking a reported $6 million (£3.8 million) for staging a private concert in the United Arab Emirates. The best pals wrapped up their joint U.S. tour earlier this month (Dec11) and headed to Dubai shortly before Christmas (25Dec11) to perform a lucrative gig for the niece of billionaire Manchester City Football Club owner Sheikh Mansour, in celebration of her 16th birthday.
According to Britain’s The Sun newspaper, the pair played a series of tracks from its collaborative album Watch The Throne and completed the set with a number of solo hits.
