DRAKE DENIES DATING AND PROMISING MARVIN’S ROOM WOMAN MONEY?!

On ‘Marvin’s Room,’ Drake does his best to reconnect with a lady he admittedly still has feelings for. He’s now doing essentially the opposite with Ericka Lee, the woman whose voice is heard on the song. In papers filed last week, TMZ reports, the Canadian MC officially distances himself from Lee, insisting that he neither dated her nor promised her songwriting royalties, as she claimed in a February lawsuit. He also says he never threatened her in connection with the case.

According to Drake, Lee “consented to the use of her voice in the song ‘Marvin’s Room’ for no compensation.” She remembers things differently, and citing as proof a text message from Drizzy that reads, “U basically made the song,” she’s seeking a co-writing credit on the popular track.

Drake reportedly offered her $50,000 and 4 to 5 percent of the publishing, but she’s pushing for a presumably higher undisclosed amount. A judge has yet to rule, but either way, this emotionally messy song is bound to spawn more bad feelings.
