Nicki Minaj dropped her second album Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded today and with everything already set it stone, the Young Money superstar stated that she already wants to work with another female artist: hip hop icon Lauryn Hill.
Minaj wanted Ms. Hill to be featured on her track “Champion” which already has three other verses from Nas, Young Jeezy, and label mate Drake.
In an interview with Hot 97’s Funkmaster Flex, Nicki spoke on her wanting to work with Hill and her admiration for the Fugees member.
“I wanted to get her on ‘Champion’. “That would have been crazy, right? She was my fave.”
“”Lauryn to me was the goddess. “I’d love to meet her. I’m pretty sure she’s heard me talk about her a billion times.”
Nicki also had good things to say about fellow female rapper Foxy Brown.
“She was one of my faves. I had connected with her a lot just because she’s Trini and I’m Trini, and I always thought if I meet her, she would understand me. Foxy Brown was my friend in my head.”
