Comedian Kevin Hart has been charged with driving under the influence (DUI) following his arrest earlier this month.
Police in California pulled over the funnyman’s car after he was spotted driving erratically in the early hours of 14 April, and he was booked on a misdemeanour DUI charge when he failed to complete a field sobriety test.
Editors at TMZ.com report the Los Angeles City Attorney has now charged Hart with two misdemeanour counts of DUI.
Hart took to his Twitter.com page after he was released on bail to express his regret over the arrest, stating, “Drinking & driving is not a game or a laughing matter. People have lost lives because of stupid s**t this (sic)! This is a wake up call for me, I have to be smarter & last night I wasn’t… everything happens for a reason.”
