Rapper Waka Flocka Flame’s younger brother Kayo Redd died Sunday from an apparent suicide, TMZ reports.

While his cause of death has not yet been confirmed law enforcement officials indicate all evidence points to the aspiring rapper taking his own life with a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Redd, born Coades Scott, was found dead Dec. 29 near his home in Atlanta, Georgia. Just hours before his alleged suicide he took to Twitter to promote his new mixtape “Redd Kisses.”

“Make sure you go vote & download my latest mixtape Redd Kisses,” he tweeted around 5 p.m.

After the young man’s passing, which was confirmed by his brother, whose real name is Juaquin Malphurs, and their mother and manager Debra Antey, the “No Hands” rapper tweeted about his sibling’s death.
“Ya Big Brother love you Kayo,” Waka wrote.

Sadly, this is not the first brother the 27-year-old rapper has lost. When he was 13 his other brother died after being hit by a car while riding his bicycle home.

“My f–king lil brother killed hisself,” A distraught Waka Flocka Flame tweeted at approximately 10 p.m. Sunday night, which was later deleted. “F–kkkkkkkk lifeeeeee.”

“I just lost another son,” Antey tweeted Sunday.
“That whole period of my life really messed with my head,” Waka told Ace ShowBiz. “I ain’t even gonna lie — it killed me as a man. But it also made me stronger as a man in the future.”

Antey spoke of her first son’s death in a 2010 interview with Vibe.com and the impact it had on Waka.
“My son was killed in 2000 and Waka was life 13 years old, going on 14, and it was hard,” she said.
An autopsy is scheduled for Tuesday in order to determine Redd’s cause of death.

Waka Flocka’s initial reaction posted on Twitter and later deleted indicated police were correct in suspecting suicide as the cause for his brother’s demise, according to Access Atlanta.

“My f–king lil brother killed hisself,” the rapper tweeted at approximately 10 p.m. Sunday night. “F–kkkkkkkk lifeeeeee.”
