Rapper slash actor The Game will reportedly return to acting as he is currently in talks to star in the upcoming “A-Team” remake that should hit theaters next summer. Game will play the role of “B.A. Baracus,” originally played by Mr. T on the television show. Rumors first had another rapper slash actor Common playing the role but now that he’s been cast opposite of Queen Latifah in the new “Just Wright” film, he will most likely be too busy. Other rumored possible actors for “B.A. Baracus” include Ice T and fighter Quinton “Rampage” Jackson.

Up and coming rapper Drake is getting a lot of oportunities due to his huge buzz, but he’s almost too busy to work on his debut album. “I just gotta get this tour knocked out,” he said of the America’s Most Wanted Music Festival (featuring Lil Wayne, Soulja Boy Tell’em and Young Jeezy). Drake is getting some work done though. “I am working on [the album] right now. I’ve actually started. I was in the studio with Pharrell, and it’s basically a pretty lax process for us.” “Basically, So Far Gone worked,” he continued  “So, let’s just try to do it again. You know, let’s try and act as if we were making a second disc to So Far Gone. Picking up on things I feel So Far Gone missed out on. Taking away things that people liked but didn’t respond to as much as they did to Best I Ever Had, Uptown, or the joint with Trey [Successful]. There were specific things on that mixtape that I know unanimously people loved and certain things that people didn’t necessarily understand. So basically, I’m just trying to find the strongest points off So Far Gone and basing the album off that.”

Lil Kim says she, like 50 Cent, plans to return to a hardcore rapping style.  Kim says her new album is coming and fans can expect her to be coming hard. Although there is no release date, Lil Kim did say she thinks that her new LP will be out this year. “Album should be out in a few months,” Kim said in an interview at the pre-BET Awards show last weekend. We don’t have a set date yet but the song ‘Download’ is featuring T-Pain and Charlie Wilson is doing very well and I’m excited about that ’cause it’s been a long time since I made my rounds. But I got another song that’s with a producer named Detail, he’s a Konvict Music producer and I love this song. I can’t tell y’all the name yet ’cause it might be the next single but just know that this album, I’m feeling real sexy and nasty y’all, so it’s gonna be an upgrade of Hardcore.”

New York rapper Maino recently talked about Chris Brown’s comeback from the highly media-covered domestic dispute with fellow singer and then girlfriend, Rihanna. ”My predictions are coming true, if you didn’t know earlier in the year I predicted that Chris Browns and Rihanna’s relationship would not make it to September and earlier this week, he got 5 year probation for the events that caused them to break up,” Maino wrote on his blog. “I just want to say that he’ll be all right, I don’t see him getting into anymore trouble to violate the 5 years probation. [What] happens is they give your a** those 5 years and hope you mess up so they can give you state time. But, like i said earlier he will be all right I have friends that got 20 times worse, so that ain’t nothing major. It’s just a good feeling to see a lot of my predictions come true, knowing that I got a crystal ball lying aroundin my home and I can see everyone’s future.”

BET has expressed remorse over a performance by Lil Wayne, Drake and Young Money Records that involved underage girls during songs “Best I Ever Had” and “Every Girl.” The songs, which have overt sexual references, were performed during the Sunday BET Awards ‘09 show as a bevy of young girls danced on stage. The group of girls consisted of Lil Wayne’s daughters and her friends. In an exclusive statement, BET has responded to the criticism and the public outcry over the segment.

“BET Networks deeply regrets the performance by Young Money at the BET AWARDS ’09 (featuring Lil Wayne, Drake, Gudda Gudda and Mack Maine),” a BET representative told sources. “Elements of the performance were unplanned and should not have happened.” In the aftermath of the show, many have expressed outrage over the outing by Young Money, which was set amid a show dedicated to the late Michael Jackson. Activist and filmmaker Byron Hurt lambasted the network earlier in the week in an open letter to Debra Lee, the President and Chief Executive Officer of BET Holdings, Inc. “In a culture where one out of four girls and women are either raped or sexually assaulted - and where manipulative men routinely traffic vulnerable women into the sex industry - it is not okay that BET allowed this to happen,” Hurt said. “BET owes its entire audience - particularly girls and women around the world - an apology for its failure to intervene.” A representative said generally the company has found such opinions useful. “We value and appreciate the feedback from our viewers and have edited Young Money’s performance for all BET Awards ’09 encore presentations.” Drake has apologized and taken responsibility for the performance, admitting it was in poor taste. “That…was a terrible idea that I’ll never do to myself again. But I was being pressed from different areas to perform, and I think what really happened at the BET Awards is with the passing of Mike, the climate really changed, as far as the award show goes,” he told Complex. “I don’t think it called for us to perform “Every Girl” and “Always Strapped,” and I think it was an award show filled with tributes and music and these genuine heartfelt speeches. And to sort of climax out of a very tongue-n-cheek point, and then people misconstruing Wayne’s daughters and her friends coming out on stage — it was just timed very poorly and it definitely wasn’t planned like that, but with that being said, it is what is. I believe in Wayne and myself and it’s nothing we can’t bounce back from. To anyone who was offended, my personal apologies, it wasn’t intended to offend anybody.” An edited version of the show will re-air on Monday July 6. The BET Awards saw a 61-percent increase in viewers this year fueled by the sudden death of Michael Jackson. Ten percent of all turned on television sets watched the show Sunday, a remarkably high number.

Beyonce Knowles wants to star in ‘Sister Act’. The ‘Single Ladies’ singer is so desperate to dress up as a nun for a remake of the 1992 movie - which was recently turned into a sell-out musical in London’s West End theatre district - she is begging Disney bosses to take up the project. Britain’s Daily Mail newspaper reports: “Beyonce has asked her representatives to persuade Disney to develop the show into a film vehicle for her. “If this comes to pass, she would take on, in musical form, the part Whoopi Goldberg creates in the 1992 ‘Sister Act’ film, although the stage version moves the action from the West Coast to Philadelphia.” The 27-year-old beauty recently took a break from her UK ‘I Am Sasha Fierce tour’ to watch the show at the London Palladium theatre. If the movie project goes ahead, Beyonce will play sexy singer Deloris Van Cartier - the role previously portrayed by Hollywood actress Whoopi Goldberg - who is forced to dress up as a nun while fleeing a group of gangsters. Beyonce is also in talks about releasing ‘Take Me To Heaven’, one of the musical’s well-known hits. Filming will not start until after 2011, following the musical’s move to New York’s Broadway theatre district in late 2010. US actress Patina Miller is currently playing the lead character in the West End musical which was co-produced by Whoopi.

50 Cent is like everyone else, he checks out the internet all the time although he refuses to watch Game’s Apology yesterday (July 2nd). 50 talked about his new “Forever King” mixtape saying “In the past, you’ve had artists, when they feel they’re on top their game, say they are, or would be considered, the King in New York City. So I feel on top of my game. It’s actually one of the laws of power: Act as if you’re a king to be treated like a king.” The G-Unit general explained the design for the cover. “When Michael Jackson passed, there was a piece of artwork that had ‘King of Pop, King of Rap’ with me and his pictures. That’s what gave me the concept of the artwork. There’s a real human skull that’s got diamonds embedded in it,” he said. “I saw the photo in Dubai. It’s an artifact, it’s priceless. That’s a real skull they see. We used the effect to make it feel like it’s a skull inside my face. Game says that he now wants to not only “apologize to 50 as a man,” but also to his fans, Dr. Dre, Eminem and the head of Interscope Records, Jimmy Iovine.  “Jimmy always says, ‘Man, I told you guys not to break up the Beatles,’” Game says.“He says he told John Lennon the same thing a long time ago. But I was young, man. I was dumb. I did a lot of dumb things. I felt me and 50 clashed. I’m not gonna dis 50. I’m not gonna go back on the plane. He had his side, I had my side. I did what I felt was necessary for me and my career to have longevity and survive in hip-hop and music to be around when I’m Quincy Jones’ age — not just be Quincy Jones’ age, but be a Quincy Jones. Now, four albums in, I can honestly say from Banks to Buck to Dre to Yayo to whoever, if it would have kept going, endless paper. Millions of albums sold — because we were great together. Me and 50’s chemistry was like how Method Man was to Redman when they get in. BET is continuing to get blasted over the performance of “Every Girl” by Lil Wayne, Drake and Young Money.  The latest to the party is award-winning filmmaker Byron Hunt who sent an open letter to BET President Debra Lee. “Show executives watched, approved, and applauded as artists Lil Wayne, Drake, and Cash Money brought young, under-aged girls onto the stage to dance and serve as window dressing while they performed ‘Every Girl,’ a song that reduces girls and women to sex objects. In a culture where one out of four girls and women are either raped or sexually assaulted - and where manipulative men routinely traffic vulnerable women into the sex industry - it is not okay that BET allowed this to happen. BET owes its entire audience - particularly girls and women around the world - an apology for its failure to intervene.” Previously many journalists reacted to the show negatively. “Overrall, the show was a big downer because…many things just seemed out of place. For example, Drake’s performance had Lil’ Wayne and his pre-teen daughter with other young girls on stage rapping along to “Every Girl in the World,” which is a song about having escapades with all the girls in the world,” one wrote in the Examiner.

Soulja Boy took to his Twitter account to blast the media using racist language. On Wednesday (July 1st) Soulja Boy wrote “Water down my music and my appearance and make me look like something i’m not.” Continuing, “THESE CRACKERS DONT KNOW WHO THE F*CK I REALLY AM!!! Then I get signed. this is where my dream slowly died… these crackaz wanna criticize a n*gga. take REAL SH*t and turn it to trash. Like why? Like really. My music dream was THE SH*t 2 years ago before I was signed. It was everything I could ever imagine.” Later Soulja Boy reinforced his thoughts. “Yeah I said,” Soulja Boy added. “f*ck all of yall. I’m taking my money and leaving. Gonna go blow kush and live my 2nd dream. this rap sh*t lame now” Then the next day (Thursday, July 2nd) the posts were deleted. Soulja Boy removed his dramatic tweets saying that R&B singer Tyrese gave him some advice on the situation.
